Join our mission to preserve our local environment and create a sustainable future for Austin!
Our vision is to promote sustainable landscaping practices in Austin Texas. We believe this can be achieved by educating communities on the importance of reducing the amount of chemical fertilizer use, encouraging the use of native and adaptive plants, improving soil, minimizing water use, and eventually reducing the size of lawns.
We are providing 1000 recruited homeowners with a voucher which can be spent at local nurseries to replace non-native plants and grasses with natural ones. A 30-minute educational video will also be administered which aims to teach homeowners how their landscaping practices can be more sustainable and inform them about Austin's existing voucher programs.
Since our founding in 2023, Get Fertilizer Wiser has made a significant impact on environmental policy and practice throughout the City of Austin. We have successfully advocated for stronger regulations on fertilizer, promoted sustainable home lawns, work with local nurseries, and helped to protect surrounding water ways.

This includes the water that we use on a daily basis, as well as our great lkes and rivers. we aim to achieve this by reducing waste runoff in our lawns
